Nigerian Law School Recruitment 2017… The Nigerian Law School is an educational institution set up by the Federal Government of Nigeria by the Legal Education Act of 1962.

This building is necessary to resolve the daily problems of providing training programs to applicants to the Nigerian Law Enforcement Act and to provide Nigerian legal education to the lawyers who train them. This is because, before the establishment, lawyers in Nigeria received training in England and were invited to English bar.

Law Law School begins in 1963 in No. 213A Road to Lagos, Lagos, moved to Victoria Island, Lagos in 1969, and returned to Abuja in 1997. In 1997, the federal government adopted the Council’s decision to establish three schools. In Lagos, Kano and Enugu, and recently in 2009, have agreed to establish two new camps in Yola, Adamawa State, and Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Law Law has used researchers from all walks of life to look for different products instead of teachers; You need to study the Law to qualify for the use of a teacher’s status. These locations include;

  • A Lecturer
  • Librarian
  • Medical Doctor
  • Executive Officer
  • Lecturer II
  • Nurse
  • Civil Engineer

Requirements for the position of a Civil Engineer II (CONTISS 7)

  • Applicants must possess good honors degree in Civil Engineering not below Second Class Lower Division (2.2) from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 3 years cognate work experience is required.

Requirement Nurse – CONHESS 07

  • Applicants must possess NRN and NRM Certificate plus registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and a valid practicing license.

Requirements to work as an executive officer




Educational Requirements:

  • Applicants must possess a Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit in Public Administration or other relevant field, from a recognized institution as well as SSCE Certificate with 5 credits including English Language at not more than 2 sittings.

Requirements to apply as a Medical Doctor

  • Applicants must possess MBBS with full registration with relevant medical professional body

Requirements for applicants applying as Lecturer I

  • Applicants must possess a good honors degree in Law not below Second Class Lower Division (2.2) from a recognized university.
  • Qualifying certificate from Nigerian law School and a Masters Degree in Law.
  • A minimum of 3 years of active Legal practice and or teaching and relevant research is also required.
  • Evidence of academic publication will be an advantage.




Requirements to apply as a Librarian

  • Applicants must possess a good honors degree in Library Science or its equivalent not below Second Class Lower (2.2)

Requirements for Lecturer II – CONUASS 03

  • Applicants must possess a good honours degree in Law not below Second Class Lower division (2:2) from a recognized University, the qualifying Certificate from the Nigerian Law School and a Master of Laws degree.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of active legal practice and relevant research.
  • Evidence of academic publication will be an advantage.


  • Appointment will be full time and pensionable, subject to probationary period of two years, after which upon satisfactory work and conduct, the appointment may be confirmed.
  • Other conditions of service are similar to those existing in Nigerian Universities and as may be prescribed from time to time by the Council of Legal Education.
